Backplane Enterprise
We defined this boundary from the start so it is clear where the open-source product ends. This page is intentionally brief: enterprise capabilities are planned but not yet available, and we do not present future plans as current products.
What will remain open source
The platform, MCP server, and runner form the complete product: an AGPL core and MIT runner, available for you to host on your infrastructure. Nothing that is part of the product today will move behind a paywall.
What Enterprise will offer
Advanced governance for organizations: centralized management of Backplane's own identities and keys, plus organization-level budget controls. We will never manage your AI provider keys. Backplane includes no models, and that boundary is permanent.
Current status
It is planned. The first paid capability does not exist yet and, while that remains true, there is nothing to sell you on this page. If your organization wants to help define it or needs a managed deployment, we would like to talk.
